After his 1993 graduation, Jayson groomed his skills as a graphic designer under the tutelage of many great art directors along the way starting with his first position at Women’s Day Magazine. It wasn’t long before Mr. Teig became a major part of the award-winning development team of ESPN The Magazine, a publication that received many accolades for it’s ground-breaking look, content and marketing strategies. He served as the Operations Coordinator (editorial production manager) and Designer for the first two years of that publication. The next stop on the road led to Indianapolis, Indiana and NUVO Newsweekly (Indy’s Alternative Voice) where Jayson’s duties included those usually considered to be those of an Art Director, including critiquing/proofing other designers work and being the liaison with the printer. Mr. Teig next served as the freelance Art Director and Website Designer/Administrator for South Florida Adventures and SFA Fitness magazines. With print media suffering in the digital age Jayson shifted his professional focus to digital media, becoming a web designer/developer for West World Media back in his hometown of Ridgefield, Connecticut.
After moving back to his hometown he rediscovered his love for the sport of lacrosse and has embarked on a project to launch a custom lacrosse stick dying & stringing company.
A multi-talented creative artist, Mr. Teig’s photographic talents have been featured in the L.A. Times, the A.P. Wire, Pollstar Magazine, Yahoo news, CBS news.com, as well as websites for many recording artists such as Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Counting Crows, and Peter Frampton to name a few.
